Puppy Love - The Bow Wow Shoppe is located inside the Cosmos Centre, right behind the mutton market in Morod. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a pet shop, but we’ve made it work for us over the years. We carry things like dog food, leashes, and some toys. I’ve always liked animals, so being around dogs all day is actually quite nice. The shop is small and it usually smells a bit like dried meat and pet shampoo. We have our regulars who come in every week. Sometimes they bring their dogs along, which makes the shop very crowded and noisy for a bit. The market next door is always bustling, so there’s a lot of noise coming from outside too. I spend a good part of my morning wiping down the shelves because the dust from the road gets in. We don't have everything you might find in a big city store, but we keep the basics that people here need. I usually sit on a small stool by the counter and listen to the radio. My sister comes in to help out on the weekends when more people are off work. We don't have any big corporate plans. It’s just a small shop for people who care about their pets. We give advice based on what we’ve learned ourselves over the years. It’s a decent way to earn a living in Morod.
