We operate out of Room 103 in the Vikas Apartment building over in Kalyan. It’s a pretty standard residential-style building, but it works fine for our office needs. Being in Thane, we are right in the thick of things. The commute can be a bit of a pain for some of us, but that’s just life in Mumbai, isn't it? We handle a lot of the administrative side of the business from this small space. There are desks crammed in, and files everywhere, but we know where everything is. Most of the day is spent handling paperwork and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs to the first floor. It keeps us fit, I guess. We’ve been here for a bit now and the neighbors know us. We aren't trying to be a big corporate giant with glass walls; we just need a place to sit and work. The chai man comes by twice a day, which is the highlight for most of the staff. We deal with industrial materials and keeping track of orders across the region. It gets dusty being near the main roads, but we keep the windows shut when it's bad. Dealing with logistics from a place like this requires a lot of patience. We just do our bit every day and try to keep things moving forward without too much fuss. It isn't always perfect, but we make it work somehow. Kalyan is a tough place to work but it’s home for us.
