J. P. Pharma Thane

J. P. Pharma Thane sits in the middle of the Tikamdas & Lachmandas Industrial Estate. We are on the ground floor, specifically units G-3 and G-4. Being in Ulhasnagar-2/N means it’s always loud and active around here with other businesses doing their thing. Our space is mostly taken up by tall metal shelves filled with all sorts of pharmaceutical supplies. It’s an industrial area, so don’t expect anything decorative. We focus on getting the crates in and out. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it’s hot outside, which is nice. We spend hours every week just doing inventory because things move fast and it’s easy to lose track if you aren’t careful. We use a lot of packing tape and markers. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep working by the light from the door. Dealing with the distributors takes up a lot of our time on the phone. We’ve got a couple of delivery bikes that are always on the move. It’s a bit of a squeeze when the big trucks come to drop off new stock at the gate. We’ve known the guys in the neighboring units for years. We just keep our heads down and do the work. There isn’t much to say other than we handle medicines and try to keep the paperwork straight. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and counting.
