We started Iways Skill India Private Limited in a ground floor room at Sumiti Niwas. It’s on Gavdevi Road in Kalwa, which is a busy little part of Thane. Being on the ground floor is handy because people can just walk right in from the street. We’ve been here for a while now, focusing on skill development. The office isn't very big, Room Number 1 to be exact, but it’s enough for what we do. We spend our days coordinating different training programs and making sure the students have what they need. Kalwa has its own rhythm, and we’ve become part of the local scene here. You won't find any sleek glass walls or expensive furniture in our place. It’s just a regular office with tables, chairs, and our computers. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with government schemes or private training can be a lot of paperwork, so we stay busy with that. Most of the time, we’re just chatting with locals who want to improve their job prospects. We don't put on any acts. If we can help, we say so. If a course isn't right for someone, we tell them that too. It’s a straightforward way of running a business. People in Thane appreciate honesty, so that’s how we operate every day. The rains can be tough on Gavdevi Road, but we’re always open for those who want to learn.
