Hi-Therm Boilers is located in the Oshiwara Industrial Estate in Goregaon. We’re in unit A-102. It’s a busy estate with a lot of noise coming from all the different units. Our place is full of heavy parts and welding gear. We deal with boilers and heating systems, so it can get quite hot inside the workshop. We’ve been here for years. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy working to worry about that. We have a few technicians who are always out on service calls. The rest of us stay here and handle the manufacturing and repairs. It’s a tough job. You have to be careful with the heat and the pressure. We’ve all had a few minor burns over the years. That’s just the nature of the work. The office is just a small room with a couple of desks and a lot of files. We don't use much technology for the filing; mostly just folders and labels. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I guess. Goregaon West has changed so much with the new malls and buildings, but the industrial estate feels like it’s stuck in time. We like it that way. It’s where we belong. We just keep our heads down and focus on the machines. Sometimes we work through the night if a boiler breaks down at a factory. It’s hard but necessary work.
