Our place, Crystal House, is located in Valiv Village, which is over in Vasai East. It’s a bit of a way out, situated right behind the Blue Berry Industrial Estate in Naik Pada. Being tucked away like that means it’s a bit quieter than the main roads, but we are still right in the middle of all the industrial activity. We focus on electrical components and plastic-related items, hence the name Crystoplast. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we get the manufacturing and assembly done. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the machines are running full tilt. We spend a lot of time checking the parts for any defects before they get packed up. Vasai has grown a lot, so there are always new people moving into the industrial estates around us. We’ve got a regular crew here and we just stick to our production schedule. Sometimes getting parts delivered to Valiv Village takes a bit longer than we’d like, but that’s just how it is out here. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a workshop and a small area for the paperwork. We just focus on making the electrical parts and keeping the orders moving out the door every week. It is a lot of hard work but we manage it.
