Varun Udyog

Our little operation, Varun Udyog, is located at B9/10 in Sector-6 of Vashi. Vashi is a great place to be, but Sector-6 has its own specific feel. It’s a bit more settled than the newer parts of town. We have been working out of these units for a long time. The space is divided between the office work and the actual production, so it gets a bit crowded sometimes. We have old metal desks and chairs that might creak a bit, but they still hold up. Most of us take the train into Vashi and then a quick rickshaw to get to the B9/10 block. It’s a steady routine. We aren't interested in being the flashiest company in the sector. We just want to make sure the quality is right. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the ceiling fan wobbles a little when it's on high, but these things don't really matter when you're busy. We know the other shop owners on the block, and we often help each other out when someone needs a tool or an extra hand. It’s a nice little community we have here. We don't have any big missions or grand visions; we just want to do right by the people we work with every day. It’s just a normal, hardworking day for us in Vashi. Even when the monsoon hits and the streets get flooded, we still manage to show up and get the doors open on time.
