Cakes2Gifts

Our place is in Bhayander East, right near the Canara Bank. If you're looking for us, that bank is probably the easiest landmark to find in the area. We spend most of our time in the back room where the ovens are located. It’s always very warm in there, even when it’s pouring rain outside. Cakes2Gifts is mostly about getting orders ready and sent out for delivery. We have cardboard boxes stacked up in the corner and sometimes there is flour all over the floor. It’s a messy job, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with baking supplies. We have a small wooden counter at the front for when people walk in from the street. The smell of whatever we are baking usually fills up the whole lane. Sometimes the delivery guys are just sitting around waiting for the cakes to cool down so they can pack them safely. We try to keep up with all the little notes and messages people want us to write on the cards. My handwriting isn’t the most beautiful, but I try to make it look as neat as possible. We get a lot of phone calls throughout the day, so the shop is never really quiet. Bhayander East can be a bit of a maze with all the small lanes, but we know the area well. We just keep working through the orders.
