You can find Almas Matching Centre over at 3 Halima Apartment, specifically in Tenement 2 in Jogeshwari West. It’s a quiet enough area compared to some of the main roads, which we actually prefer. The shop is part of a residential building, so it feels very much like a home business. We have rolls and rolls of fabric everywhere. Sometimes they fall over and we have to spend the whole afternoon tidying up the shelves again. It’s a bit of a jumble, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big staff, just us and occasionally a family member helping out when things get busy during the wedding season. People bring in their outfits and we try to find the right colors to go with them. It takes a lot of patience because the light inside isn't always the best for seeing shades perfectly. We often have to step outside to the doorway to check the color in the natural sunlight. It’s a small operation, and we don’t have any big goals of expanding or becoming a huge brand. We just like what we do. The neighbors are friendly, and we often share tea or snacks in the late afternoon. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. We don’t use any fancy computer systems; we just write things down in our notebook and keep moving forward. It works for us and the people who visit us. We are usually here every day.
