Kapiraj Farmer Producer Company is based right out of House 920 in Nishal Faliyuvasanda. It’s not a commercial building or a shop, it’s just our local spot in the village. We are a group of farmers who decided to work together instead of trying to do everything on our own. Vasanda is a small place where everyone knows each other. Our office is basically just a room where we keep our records and meet to talk about the season. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just focus on our crops and how to get them to the market without losing money. Some days we are out in the sun all day, and other days we sit in the house and try to figure out the government forms. It’s a lot of paperwork to run a producer company, but it helps us in the long run. We handle everything from buying seeds in bulk to organizing the transport for our harvest. It’s a tough life sometimes, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate, but having the company helps us stay afloat. We don't make big promises to anyone. We just work hard and try to do right by the members of our group. It is a very simple, honest way of doing business right from the heart of our village. We’ve been at it for a while and we plan to keep going as long as we can.
