Our group is located at number 533 in Pati Faliya, which is inside Padamdungari village. If you know the Vyara area in Surat, you know it’s a lot of green and a lot of hard work. We are a collection of farmers from this local spot who decided to pool our resources. It’s a small operation run by people who actually live here and work the dirt. We spend our time checking the fields and making sure the crops are growing right. Being in Padamdungari, we are a bit far out, but that’s where the best land is. We handle the collecting and the sorting ourselves. It’s not a polished business with a lot of people in suits. It’s mostly just us in our work clothes, trying to figure out the best way to move our produce. Sometimes we sit around the village and talk about the water levels or which seeds worked better last year. We started this because we needed a way to manage our sales better. It’s a practical way to keep the farms going. We don’t use any complicated systems, just basic record-keeping and a lot of manual labor. Every day is different depending on what needs harvesting. We’re just a part of the community here in Surat, doing what our families have done for generations. It gets hot and tiring, but that's just farming life in Gujarat. We don't have much else to say, it's just what we do.
