Bonsai Computers is tucked away at 3/2 EVR Street in Vijayalakshmi Puram. This is part of Ambathur, which most people know is a heavily industrial and residential mix in Chennai. Our shop is small and usually has a few half-taken-apart computers sitting on the counters. We’ve been on this street for a while. It’s not a big showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a place where people bring their machines when something goes wrong. We have shelves filled with spare parts, old keyboards, and various cables that we might need one day. The street outside is narrow, so parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. Ambathur has its own rhythm, and we are just a part of it. We spend our time testing motherboards or trying to recover files for someone who had a hard drive crash. The floors could probably use a good scrub, but we are usually too busy working on a laptop to worry about it. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. Local people from the neighborhood walk in to ask about prices or just to see if we can fix something they dropped. We don't use a lot of fancy words to explain things. We just look at the machine and see what we can do. It’s a simple business, and we like it that way.
