Nagubabu Bricks

Out here on Polavaram Road, things are pretty quiet compared to the city. Our place, Nagubabu Bricks, is at 2-896-56. It is mostly just dirt, clay, and a lot of hard work under the sun. We have been making bricks here for years. You learn a lot about the soil when you do this every day. Some days the mix is just right, and other days you have to work it a bit more. We have a small crew of guys who have been with us for a long time. They know the routine better than anyone. We load the trucks when the orders come in, and sometimes we even deliver them ourselves if the distance isn't too far. The road to Polavaram sees a lot of tractors and heavy vehicles, so it stays pretty dusty. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just hear about us from their neighbors or see the stacks of red bricks from the road. It is honest work. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to cover everything up fast. You get used to the rhythm of the seasons. When the sun is high, we are busy. When it's dark, we finally sit down for a bit. That is just the way it is at the brickyard. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just make bricks and try to get through the day.
