Lingaiah Gorentla

I am Lingaiah Gorentla and I live and work at H. No. 2-26. My place is right on the Main Bazar in Gattikal village. It's a good spot because everyone walks by on their way to do their daily shopping. Being in Atmakur-S, we are part of a community where everyone knows your business, for better or worse. I’ve been in the Suryapet district my whole life. The shop at H. No. 2-26 is small, but it has everything I need to get through the day. I don’t have a big staff or anything like that. It’s mostly just me sitting there, waiting for customers and talking to the people who stop by to say hello. Sometimes the electricity goes out in Gattikal, and we just sit in the dark and wait for it to come back on. That’s just life in the village. I don't use any complicated systems to run things. I keep my notes in a simple diary and I remember most things in my head anyway. People in Telangana like to talk, so a lot of my day is just chatting while we work out what they need. It is a slow pace compared to the big cities, but I like it that way. If you are looking for me, just head to the Main Bazar. You can't miss the house, it’s been there for years and it’s where I’ll likely be until I retire.
