About Bhukya Kanthamma – Transportation & Logistics in Suryapet
My place is at H. No. 4-50/1 in Lal Thanda, which is part of Dasaigudem village. It’s a quiet area for the most part, though you can always hear the goats or the neighbors talking across the way. I started this because there was a need for someone to provide things locally so people didn't have to travel so far every time they needed something small. It’s just a simple setup I run from the house. Some days are slow and I just sit on the porch waiting for someone to stop by. Other days, everyone seems to come at once and it gets a bit crowded in the front room. I handle everything myself, from keeping track of what I have to talking with the people who come by. I’ve lived in Lal Thanda for a long time, so I know everyone’s names and their kids too. It’s not like a big city shop where nobody talks. Here, we talk about the weather or the crops while we work out the business side of things. I try to keep things organized but sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on the desk. That’s just how it goes when you’re doing it all alone. People know where to find me if the door is open. It’s a small life but it’s mine and it works for the village. I usually close up when the sun goes down and start again the next morning.
