Vijaylaxmi Granites

We’ve been here in Jeevkar Nagar for quite some time now. Athwa is a busy place, and being near Svr College means there is always a lot of movement around our gate. The shop isn’t anything fancy, just a place where we keep the slabs and talk to people who come in. My father started this because he knew stone, and now we just keep it going. Most days start early, before the sun gets too hot, especially with all the granite sitting out there reflecting the light. It gets dusty. You can’t really avoid the dust when you’re working with stone, no matter how much you clean. We have a few guys who help with the loading and unloading. It’s heavy work, and sometimes things get delayed because a truck is late or the weather isn’t helping. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a reliable one where you can see what you're getting. Sometimes people come in just to ask for directions because of the college nearby, and we don't mind. We know the neighborhood well. The traffic on the main road can be a headache in the evenings, but that’s just how it is living and working in this part of the city. We keep the inventory moving as much as we can. It’s just us here, doing the work, day in and day out, trying to make sure the stone looks right before it leaves the yard.
