Our shop is D28 in the Varun Complex. We are situated right near Laxmi Nagar Society and the Bombay Market area. It’s a very busy part of Surat, especially with all the wholesale activity nearby. Renuka Bhavan is another landmark that people use to find us. The name is Vijay Beauyt And Salon—yes, the sign has that little spelling thing, but we never bothered to change it. We do hair and salon work for anyone who stops in. The Bombay Market area is always crowded, so there is no shortage of people walking by. We’ve got a decent amount of space in Varun Complex. It’s mostly locals from Laxmi Nagar who come in for their regular grooming. We don’t have a corporate office or a mission statement. We just try to keep the shop clean and the scissors sharp. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoon, so we have a couple of fans going full blast. It’s a noisy, busy, and honest place to work. We’ve seen many shops come and go in this complex, but we’re still here at D28. We don't do much promotional stuff. Word of mouth usually brings people in. If you’re near Renuka Bhavan, you can see our shop from the street. We just take things one day at a time here.
