Sai Prasad Beauty Shop

Sai Prasad Beauty Shop is tucked away in the Govindji Park area, specifically at LL/19 inside the Cosmopolitan Cooperative Housing Society. It is more of a quiet spot compared to the main roads of Surat. Because we are inside a residential society, we mostly see the people who live nearby. It’s not a big salon with marble floors. It is just a small room where we keep all the supplies and products. We have a couple of mirrors and some chairs that have seen better days. Usually, it’s a lot of chat about what’s happening in the building or who is getting married next month. People come in to pick up their usual things or just to get a quick service done. We don't have a computer for bookings; we just write everything down in a thick ledger book with a blue pen. Sometimes the ink leaks on our fingers, but that’s okay. The lights are a bit dim in the corner, but we know where everything is. It feels more like visiting a neighbor's house than going to a store. We enjoy the gossip and the slow pace of life here in Govindji Park. It’s a simple setup, and we aren't trying to be anything more than a local shop for the ladies around here. It keeps us occupied and happy throughout the long week.
