Vaidehi Craft

Our shop, Vaidehi Craft, is right on Ghod Dod Road, specifically at Arihant across from the Kakadia Complex. It’s a busy part of Athwalines. There is always someone walking by or a car honking. We’ve been here for a good amount of time. The shop is small, but we use every inch of it. We have shelves all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes we need a ladder just to find something we put away last month. It’s a bit of a puzzle. We don't have a big staff. It's just a few of us. We share the work and the chores. If the floor needs sweeping, whoever is free does it. We get a lot of people coming in because they were visiting the complex across the street and got curious. We aren't pushy. We just let them look around. If they have questions, we answer them. The light in the afternoon hits the front window just right, and it gets a bit warm inside. We usually open the door to let the breeze in. It’s a simple setup. We don't have fancy computers or systems. We write everything down in a big ledger. It’s worked for us so far, so we keep doing it. We don't care about being the biggest shop on the road. We just want to be here tomorrow, doing the same thing we did today.
