Akash Art Jewwllers

Akash Art Jewwllers is located at Thakordwar Complex on the Ring Road. It is a very busy part of the city near the Vepari Jin area. The Mota Mandir is right nearby so we hear the temple bells often during the day. Our shop is at number 14/15 which gives us a bit more room than some of the other spots in the building. We deal with jewelry and different art pieces. It is a family thing mostly. We sit on the floor cushions because it is more comfortable for long hours of work. Customers come in looking for something for a wedding or a small gift. Ring Road is always jammed with traffic so people usually park a bit far and walk over. The complex is quite old and has many shops tucked away in the corners. We have been here long enough that we know the other shopkeepers well. We share snacks in the afternoon when things are slow. It is not a shiny showroom like you see in the big malls. It is more of a traditional setup. We have glass cases for the items and some drawers for the tools we use. My father started this and now I spend my days here too. The lighting has to be bright so people can see the small details on the pieces. Sometimes we spend hours fixing a small item. It takes a lot of patience. We do not do much advertising. People just find us by word of mouth.
