Umiya Kriyana & Dairy

We are over here in Shanti Nagar, right near the Palanpur and Ayodhya Nagar side. It’s a busy spot, mostly because people around here need their milk and bread early in the morning. Umiya Kriyana & Dairy has been sitting in this same spot for a good while now. We open up before most people are even out of bed because the milk delivery comes early and the neighbors want it fresh. It’s a small space, so things get a bit crowded sometimes with sacks of grain and those big plastic crates. We spend most of the day just weighing out things or getting change for people who only have big notes. The shelves stay pretty full of the usual stuff—spices, soaps, lentils, and the basic things you realize you forgot while cooking dinner. Sometimes it gets dusty because of the road traffic, but we try to keep the counters clean enough. There isn’t much to say about us other than we’re here every day, even when it’s raining hard. If you live nearby, you probably see us every morning. We know most of the faces that walk in, which makes the long hours go by a bit faster. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We don’t have fancy displays, just what people need when they need it. The fridge for the dairy stuff hums all day, which is the main sound we hear. We just keep doing what we do.
