Shivan Stone Quarry

Shivan Stone Quarry is located out in the Puna District. It’s not in the middle of a town or anything, but more out where the actual land is. We spend our days out in the open, dealing with raw stone and the machinery needed to move it. It’s a dusty place, as you’d expect from a quarry, and the sun can be pretty harsh during the middle of the day. We don't have a fancy office building, just a small structure where we keep the logs and the heavy equipment keys. Most of the time, we are out on the site making sure things are being dug out and loaded onto the trucks properly. It’s hard, physical work and it’s not always pretty. People who need bulk stone for construction or roads usually come out here to talk to us directly. We’ve been working this area for a while now. The roads leading out to the district can be a bit rough, especially after it rains, but the trucks manage it okay. We aren't big on talk; we just focus on the stone and making sure we meet the daily targets. It’s a simple life out here away from the city noise. You get used to the sound of the crushers and the loaders. We just keep our heads down and do the job that needs doing every day without much fuss.
