Sweetu Beauty Parlour

Sweetu Beauty Parlour is located over in Katargam, specifically at A-160 in Moti Society. This part of Surat, along the GIDC Road, is always moving with people and traffic. I started this place because I wanted something of my own near where I live. It’s a small space, but we’ve made it work over the years. We have a lot of regulars who live right here in Moti Society. They come in for a chat as much as they do for their hair or eyebrows. I remember when we first got the chairs and the big mirrors delivered; it felt like a big step. Now, they are just part of the room. The floor gets covered in hair by the afternoon, and I’m always sweeping it up. We do basic stuff, nothing too fancy, just what people ask for. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy, but we need them in this heat. Katargam is a hardworking area, and people here appreciate a place that is honest and doesn't charge too much. We don't have any big advertisements. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s a simple shop, and that’s how I like it. Every day is different depending on who walks through the door, and that keeps things interesting for me and the girls who help out here.
