Somnath Granites

Somnath Granites is down on 17 Dungra, specifically on the Ganigarpet Main Road. We are pretty close to Shyam Dham. It is a dusty kind of job because we deal with stone all day. That is just part of it. The business is basically a yard and a small office where we handle the paperwork. We spend most of our time out there moving slabs around. Ganigarpet Main Road is always moving with trucks and people going toward the temple. It makes for some long days but we are used to the rhythm of the street. We don't have a big marketing person or anything fancy like that. It is just us showing up and handling the granites. The slabs are really heavy and they take a lot of care to move so we have to stay focused on that. Some days are slower than others, but that’s fine. We like being near Shyam Dham because it feels like a nice part of the neighborhood. People stop by and ask us about the different stones we have. We tell them what we know. It isn’t a fancy showroom with bright lights and coffee machines. It is a workplace. You will see us in our dusty work clothes most of the time. That is just the reality of running a granite yard at 17 Dungra. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing every single day.
