Shri Bhavani Yarn & Jari

We’ve been working out of Shed No. 1 on Subhash Marg for quite some time now. This area in Udhna Udhyog Nagar is always busy, especially being right behind C Mahendra Exports. Our main thing is yarn and jari. We handle the daily orders as they come in. It’s a lot of work with the machines and making sure the threads are right. People in the neighborhood know where we are because Road No. 8 can be a bit tricky if you aren't familiar with the turns. We just open up every morning and get through the pile of work. Most of the day is spent checking the quality of the jari because if the shine isn't right, the people buying it won't be happy. It is a family-run kind of setup. We don't have a big office with fancy chairs. It’s mostly just the workspace and where we store the stock. Sometimes the power goes out in the industrial area but we manage to stay on track. My father started this and now we just keep it going as best as we can. It’s honest work. We supply to local weavers and some shops nearby. It’s not a huge operation but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. If you walk past the big exports building, you’ll find us easily enough. We keep the machines running to keep up with the demand. It’s dusty and noisy, but that’s how a yarn place is.
