Abg Shipyard Ltd. is situated near Magdala Port on Dumas Road. If you drive down toward the coast, you will see the big structures and the ships. The air always has a bit of salt in it because of the sea being so close. Dumas Road is a long stretch and it gets very windy out here. The shipyard is a massive area with lots of steel and heavy equipment lying around. You can hear the sounds of metal hitting metal and the cranes moving throughout the shift. It’s not a quiet place to work at all. We are mostly focused on the daily grind of the yard. The office part is just a small section where we handle the logs and the staff details. It gets very hot under the sun out there, and there isn't much shade unless you are inside one of the sheds. The traffic on Dumas Road can be quite fast, with a lot of big trailers carrying parts to and from the port. We see the tides go in and out while we work. It’s a very practical environment where things are built and moved. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor. The walls have some maps and schedules pinned up. It is an honest day’s work in a very industrial part of the city near the water. We just keep moving and getting things done.
