Shree Sardar Smarak Hospital

You will find us at Sardar Baug on Station Road. Being on Station Road means we are right in the middle of all the action. You can hear the trains arriving and departing, and there’s always a stream of people walking past our gates. The hospital is part of the Sardar Baug area, which is a place everyone in town knows. The building is large and has been here for many years. It has that old-fashioned look with high ceilings and big fans that creak a little as they spin. We have several different sections for patients, but it’s all very straightforward. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some old clocks and maybe a calendar. The staff is used to the noise from the station and the busy street outside. We get a lot of people coming in from the villages by train, so the mornings are always very hectic. We don’t have a digital check-in system. You just come to the desk and tell us your name. The benches in the hallway have been there as long as I can remember. It’s a place that feels lived-in and busy. We just focus on the daily tasks of checking on patients and making sure the supplies are ordered. It’s a lot of hard work, but being on Station Road makes us feel like we are at the heart of things.
