Shree Laxmi Dairy Sweets

Our shop is located in Bahabali Nagar 15, right on the Adajan Dn M E S Road. It is a place where we spend most of our time among milk cans and large trays of sweets. Every morning begins quite early, long before the sun is even up, because the milk arrives and needs to be handled right away. We spend the first few hours boiling milk and stirring the large vats to make sweets. You can usually smell the sugar and cardamom from the street if you are walking by around seven or eight in the morning. The counter gets busy around breakfast time when people stop by for a little something. We have been here for a good amount of time, and most of our customers are neighbors who have been living in Adajan for years. They know us by name, and we know what they usually like to buy on a Sunday morning. It is a simple setup with a glass display showing whatever we made fresh that day. Sometimes we run out of certain things by the afternoon because we only make a set amount. We don't like to keep things sitting for too long. The floor is usually a bit wet from cleaning, and there is always a lot of clinking of metal spoons against the heavy pans. It is just honest work that keeps us busy from dawn until we close up at night.
