Shree Balaji Janta Ice Cream

We have been running this ice cream spot at Parle Point for quite a while now. You can find us on B E M L Main Road at the L 8 unit. It is a pretty basic setup. We have those long white chest freezers that hum all day long. The floor is made of old tiles and they usually have some sticky patches because kids aren't very careful with their cones. We have some plastic chairs pushed against the wall for people to sit down. The lighting is a bit dim towards the back of the shop, but it stays cool inside, which is the main thing. We keep a decent variety of flavors in the tubs, mostly the usual ones people expect. We don't do any of those fancy liquid nitrogen things or rolled ice cream. It’s just scoops in a bowl or a plain wafer cone. On Saturday nights, the whole sidewalk outside gets crowded with people. It can be a bit chaotic trying to keep track of who ordered what. My father started this place, and I just sort of took over the daily work. We don't really do much in the way of decorating. There are just a few posters of the different ice cream brands we stock on the walls. The sidewalk out front is where most people end up eating because the few chairs we have are usually taken. We don't really have a name for the style of the place.
