Shivam Cream Parlour

Our place is on Anand Mahal Road, tucked away in Bhajipala Lane. If you know the area, it’s not too hard to find us, but the lane can get narrow when it's busy. We spend most of our time behind the counter. The freezers are always humming in the background. It’s a sound you get used to after a few days. We keep the cream and the toppings in the glass cases so people can see what we have left for the day. Usually, the afternoons are quiet, and then things pick up once the sun goes down and people are out walking. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass because kids are always putting their hands on it to point at things. It’s just part of the job. The light in the lane isn't the best at night, but our sign stays lit up so people know we are open. We don't really do much advertising. People just see us when they are heading home or going to the market nearby. The stools inside are old but they work fine for a quick sit. Sometimes we stand outside the door just to get a bit of fresh air when it’s not too crowded. It’s a simple setup we have here. We just focus on keeping everything cold and making sure the floor is swept. It stays fairly busy on the weekends when families are out.
