Sharan Hospital

We are located at Shop No 5 in the Kalindi Society, right near Majura Gate. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always something happening outside on the street. The hospital itself is small, but we make the most of the space we have. Every morning, the first thing I do is wipe down the counters and check the schedule for the day. Being in a society building means we see a lot of the same faces every week. Residents from upstairs walk down, or people from the neighboring shops stop by to say hello. Majura Gate is a noisy junction, so you can always hear the horns and the buses going by throughout the day. Sometimes it’s hard to hear the phone ringing over the traffic. We don’t have a big corporate lobby, just a few rows of plastic chairs where people wait their turn. The lighting is a bit bright, but it helps us see what we’re doing when we examine patients. We spend a lot of time just talking to folks and trying to help them figure out what’s wrong. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. By five o'clock, the waiting room is usually full, and things can get a bit hectic for the staff. We just keep moving through the list until everyone is seen. It’s a plain, simple place, and we like it that way because it feels like home to us and the regulars.
