If you head over to Shree Janki Shopping Complex on Road No. 3, you’ll find us at Shop No. 59-63. We’re tucked into the Gidc Sachin area, which stays pretty lively throughout the week. Ankur Stationery Mart is packed from floor to ceiling with just about everything you can imagine. We’ve got stacks of notebooks, boxes of pens, and reams of paper shoved into every corner. Sometimes it’s hard to find things if you don’t know exactly where they are, but we usually have it sorted in our heads. The morning starts with us pulling up the shutters and dusting off the counters. Because we’re in the GIDC, we get a lot of workers from the factories needing logbooks or simple office supplies. Then in the afternoons, the kids come by after school looking for specific colored pencils or those fancy erasers. The complex can get a bit crowded on Saturdays, and the noise from the street outside never really stops. We don’t have much space to move around behind the counter, but it works for us. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It’s a small shop life, keeping track of small things and making sure we don’t run out of staples or ink. We just keep the shelves filled and try to help people find what they need for their desk or school bag.
