You can find Roshni Hair Art over at 2, Punam Flats. We are right on Palanpur Road in the Palanpur Patia part of Surat. If you are looking across the street, you will see Bhumi Complex. That is a pretty big landmark for us. The shop is on the ground level so it is easy to just walk in from the sidewalk. It’s a simple setup with a couple of chairs and the big mirrors on the wall. We’ve got the usual tools scattered around the stations. Sometimes the scissors need sharpening and the floor always needs another sweep after a busy hour. The traffic on Palanpur Road is loud, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We see a lot of the same people every week. Some guys just come in to chat even if they don't need a haircut right then. We keep the doors open usually to let some air in, even if the dust comes in with it. The apartment building above us is full of families, so it feels like a community spot. We don't have a big sign or bright lights, just the name on the front. It’s a practical place where we get the job done without making a big deal of it. The tea guy comes by around four, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon for us when things are a bit slow.
