Roopkala Hair Parlour

We have been here at Jalvant Township for quite some time now. It is right on the Bombay Market Road, which gets really busy during the afternoons. Most people know us because we are right beside Nandalay Haveli. It is a quiet spot inside the township compared to the main road outside. I started this place because I just wanted a small shop where people could come for a simple haircut without too much fuss. We have a few chairs and some old mirrors that have been there since we opened. The fan makes a bit of noise but it keeps the place cool enough when the Surat heat gets bad. Usually, customers come in after they finish their shopping at the market nearby. They sit down, wait their turn, and talk about whatever is happening in the city. I don't really bother with fancy decorations or anything. Just the basic stuff you need for hair work. Sometimes my nephew helps out on weekends when it gets a bit crowded. We keep it simple. Life in Surat moves fast, but inside the parlour, things feel a bit slower. People stop by, get their hair trimmed, maybe shave, and head back out to the traffic. It's just a regular local shop. Nothing more to it. We try to keep things clean, but with all the hair and people coming in, it’s a constant job. That is how it goes every day here at Roopkala Hair Parlour.
