Our place is at Corner Point on Rani Sati Mata Road. We have the shops UG-5 and 6. It is right on Citylight Road, across from the Sejal Apartment. This part of Surat is always moving. We wanted to have a spot where women could come in and just sit for a while. It’s a beauty shop, so we do threading, waxing, and some hair stuff. The interior is mostly white, but we’ve got some purple cushions on the chairs to make it look a bit better. We aren't a big fancy spa like the ones you see in the malls. It’s just a local business. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a lot of noise, so we have to turn it off and just use the fans for a bit. We have a lot of regulars who live in the apartments nearby. They usually come in on their way back from the market. I spend a lot of my time mixing henna or cleaning up the wax heaters. It’s a lot of manual work. The street outside is always full of cars and people walking to the nearby shops. Being on the corner gives us a good view of everything happening on Citylight Road. It gets busy on wedding weekends, but otherwise, it's a nice, regular rhythm. We just try to get the job done right. The mirrors are getting a little old now.
