Rajwadi Ice-Cream & Soda Center

Our shop, Rajwadi Ice-Cream & Soda Center, is located in the village of Amroli, which is part of the Chorayasi Tehsil. We are situated very close to the K.M.P. School. Because of the school, we get a lot of kids coming in as soon as the bells ring in the afternoon. It gets very loud and chaotic for about an hour every day, but it’s nice to see the energy. The rest of the time, it is a pretty quiet spot in the village. We serve both ice cream and different kinds of soda. The soda machine makes a peculiar hissing sound that you can hear even from the back room. We spend a lot of time refilling the glass bottles and making sure the ice is ready. The shop is simple, with just a few benches and the counter. We don’t have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that spin all day long. It's a local place where people from Amroli stop by to chat and cool off. We have been here for a good bit of time now, and we know most of the families in the area. We don't bother with fancy displays or slogans. We just focus on keeping the drinks cold and the ice cream from melting too fast in the heat. It’s a lot of routine work, cleaning up the sticky spills and restocking the shelves, but we don’t mind. It’s just how we run things here near the school.
