Rajesh Marble

Rajesh Marble is located right opposite the Khodiyarmata Mandir in the Choramla Zad area of Adajan. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the temple. We get a lot of people stopping by after they finish their prayers or just because they live nearby. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a lot of stone stacked up and a small area where we sit. Dealing with marble is a heavy job, and we spend most of our time moving things around to show people what’s underneath the pile. The dust gets everywhere, even on our clothes and the furniture, but you get used to it after a week. Adajan is a busy place, and there’s always something going on in the street outside. We don’t have any fancy slogans or a mission statement pinned to the wall. We just try to provide what people are looking for without making it complicated. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk to the neighbors, and other days it feels like everyone wants their marble delivered at the same time. We’ve got a couple of guys who help with the loading, and they work hard. It’s a local business run by local people. We know the regulars by name and we don’t try to act like a big corporation. It’s just us here every day.
