Rajesh Furniture & Electricals

Our shop is located in Udhna, right in Sanjeevappa Lane. We are pretty easy to find because we are right beside the Gurudwara and near the Teen Rasta crossing. It’s a spot where there is always something going on. We keep a mix of things here, mostly wooden furniture and different kinds of electrical items. Some days it is very crowded with people looking for a new table or maybe just a bulb for their kitchen. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make space. It gets dusty, so there is always someone with a cloth trying to keep the cupboards clean. My brother and I manage most of it ourselves. We don't use any big computer systems, just a simple ledger for the sales. If you come by, you’ll likely see us drinking chai or talking to the neighbors. The shop is filled with the smell of new wood and sometimes the sound of a drill if we are putting something together. It isn't a showroom like the ones in the big malls. It’s just a local place where people from the lane come to get what they need for their homes. Sometimes we deliver things on a small cart if the house is close by. The fans and lights take up one side of the wall, while the beds and chairs are stacked on the other. It’s a bit tight, but we make it work every day.
