R & Gs Spalon

We are located on the first floor of Narayan Complex. It’s on Dumas Road in the Piplod area. Being on the first floor means you have to walk up the stairs, but it's a bit quieter than being right on the street level. We are quite close to the Reliance Township. Piplod is a nice part of Surat, things are a bit more spread out here than in the old city. The spalon—we called it that because it’s a bit of both—has been here for a bit. I spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the towels are folded. It’s a job like any other. The sun comes through the window in the afternoon. Dumas Road is always moving, lots of cars going towards the beach area. We get people from the township coming in after work or on their days off. It’s just a place where you can sit down for a while. We have the sinks for hair washing and the stations for the rest. I don’t like it to be too cluttered, so we keep things in the drawers. It’s just R and G running the place. We don't have a big team or anything. Just us. We do the work ourselves. If someone comes in, we help them. If not, we sit and have some tea until the next person knocks. It is a quiet life on the first floor.
