Prince Hair Cutting

Our shop, Prince Hair Cutting, is tucked away in M.J. House on Varachha Road. To be specific, we’re in Shop No. F/4. It’s a busy part of the Mini Bazar area, right near Mohan Chawl. You can usually hear the noise from the street while you’re sitting in the chair, but that’s just life in this part of Surat. We’ve been here for quite some time, so the shop has that lived-in feel. It’s not one of those fancy places with air conditioning that freezes you out. We just use fans and keep the doors open when we can. The mirrors are old and the chairs have some wear, but they work just fine for what we need. People come in, they chat about their day or the weather, and we get to work. It’s a local spot where you don’t have to act a certain way. We see all kinds of people, from young kids to the older men who have lived in the chawl for decades. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that, just a sign outside and some familiar faces inside. It’s a straightforward business. We show up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to walk through the door. It’s how it’s always been for us here on Varachha Road. There is no need for anything more than a simple haircut and some good conversation.
