You can find us on the first floor of Rachna Society. This is right on L H Road in the Varachha area of Surat. Varachha is always a very busy part of town and our street is no different. You have to walk up the stairs to get to our door. We have been here for some time and the room has a very familiar feel to it. The walls are painted a light color to make the space feel a bit larger than it is. We have the basic equipment like hair dryers and different types of scissors. Most of our visitors are people who live in Rachna Society or the buildings right next to it. It is more of a local neighborhood spot than a big city salon. We usually have the radio playing in the background, mostly just the local stations. There is a small balcony where we hang the towels to dry in the sun. It can get a little loud with the traffic from Varachha Road coming up, but once you are inside it is fine. We don't have any fancy lighting, just the regular tubes on the ceiling. People come here because they know us and it is convenient for them. We just focus on doing a decent job with the hair and skin work without making a big fuss about things. It is just a regular workday for us and we like keeping things that way. When the day is over we just lock up and head back downstairs.
