Patel Dairy Farm & Sweets

Patel Dairy Farm & Sweets is located in Kadodara on CMH Road, at number 20515. We start our day very early, usually while it’s still dark outside. The milk arrives and we have to get everything ready before the first customers show up for their morning tea supplies. We’ve been doing this for a long time. The shop has the big metal containers for the milk and glass cases for the sweets. We make the sweets ourselves in the back kitchen. It gets very hot back there with the big stoves going. We don’t use fancy machines, just big pots and a lot of stirring. Some days we make gulab jamun and other days it’s barfi. It depends on what people are asking for that week. The floor is always a bit wet from cleaning it so often. We try to keep things simple and honest. We don’t have a big menu or anything, just what we have made fresh that day. In the evenings, it gets quite busy with people coming home from work and picking up something sweet for their families. We usually run out of the best stuff by eight o’clock. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but it’s a good business to be in. People always need milk and they always like sweets. We’re just happy to be part of the Kadodara community and see our regular customers every day.
