Patel Dairy And Sweets is situated at Rander 155. It is a family-run place that has been serving the neighborhood for quite a few years now. Our day starts very early, often while it is still dark outside, because the fresh milk arrives before dawn. The shop is always filled with the smell of boiling milk and sweet syrup. We make most of our sweets right here in the back kitchen. It’s a hot and humid space with large iron vats, but it is where all the work happens. We don't use any fancy industrial machines; we still do things the old way with wooden paddles and hand-shaping the sweets. Rander is an old part of the city, and our shop fits right in with the traditional vibe of the area. We have glass cases filled with barfi, gulab jamun, and various local delicacies. During festival seasons, the place gets incredibly crowded and we barely have time to sit down. We usually have milk crates stacked up near the entrance and a few benches for people waiting for their orders. It’s a bit messy at times, especially when we are busy, but we try to keep things clean. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny brand logo. We just rely on the fact that people know our sweets taste like they should. It’s a simple, hardworking life, and we are happy to be a part of the daily routine for so many families.
