Om Hair Parlour

We’ve been running Om Hair Parlour for a good while now. You can find us over at Ramnagar Society, right on Varachha Road in Surat. We’re tucked in near Ankur Char Rasta. It is a simple place, honestly. We don’t have those fancy spinning chairs or bright neon lights you see in the city center. It’s just a basic shop with a few mirrors and the usual tools. Most of the people who come in live right here in the society or just down the road. We do a lot of haircuts and shaves every day. Mornings are usually the busiest because men want to look tidy before heading off to work. On Sundays, it gets a bit crowded and people sometimes have to wait on the bench outside. We keep a stack of old newspapers for them to read. The traffic on Varachha Road is always humming in the background. It’s a noisy part of town, but inside the shop, it’s just the sound of scissors and the fan. My brother and I handle most of the work ourselves. We don't have a big staff or anything like that. It’s just us doing what we know. We try to keep the place clean, but hair gets everywhere when it's a busy afternoon. It’s a regular local business. We know most of our customers by their first names. We’ve been here long enough to see kids grow up and bring their own families in.
