New Look Hair & Beauty Care is situated right above Shree Ram Footwer on the Varachha Main Road. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street outside. We are right opposite Vallabhnagar, so it’s a very familiar area for anyone who lives around here. The road downstairs is always packed with traffic and people shopping for shoes or clothes. Up here, it’s a little bit different, though you can still hear all the honking and shouting from the main road. We handle both hair and beauty stuff in the shop. It’s a plain space with white tiles and some shelves for our things. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after each person because we don't like the mess. The sunlight comes in through the front windows in the morning. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and people know to look for the sign above the shoe store. It’s not a big corporate place, just a local business run by people who live nearby. We have regular chairs for the hair cutting and a separate corner for the beauty work. Most of our day is spent waiting for the next person to walk up those stairs. It’s a steady kind of life in a busy part of Surat, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the constant movement of the city right outside our window.
