New Lakshmi Dairy And Sweet

Being at Amroli Sharutikunj Society 3 means our day starts before most people are even awake. The milk delivery comes in the dark, and we have to get everything unloaded and into the coolers quickly. It’s a small shop, and it smells like fresh milk and sugar most of the time. We make our sweets in the back room. It gets very hot back there with the large stoves running, especially in the summer months. We have a glass counter in the front where we keep the pedas and other items. They aren't always perfectly shaped, but they’re fresh. People from the society come in every morning for their milk and bread. We know exactly who wants what as soon as they walk through the door. It’s a lot of cleaning because milk can be messy. We’re constantly mopping the floor and wiping down the counters. There’s no corporate office or big management team here. It’s just a few of us working together to keep things running. Sometimes the fridge acts up and we have to fix it on the fly. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. The neighborhood just knows we are here. It’s a busy, noisy life, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at Sharutikunj Society 3 for a long time and we don't plan on going anywhere. It’s just a regular dairy doing its daily work for everyone.
