New Janta Icecream

At New Janta Icecream, we are right there on the Varachha Road Main Road. It’s a busy spot, and there is always something going on outside our doors with the traffic and the shops nearby. The shop has been here for a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood grow up and change around us over the years. We have the freezers lined up along the wall, and they’ve got that white frost on the edges that I have to scrape off every few days. It’s a simple place with just a few benches for people to sit if they aren't in a big rush to get somewhere. Most people come in after dinner when it’s finally a bit cooler outside and they want something sweet. You see parents with their kids, and the kids are always pointing at the different colors behind the glass case. It’s a bit messy sometimes, especially when it’s busy and someone drops a bit of ice cream on the floor, but we try to clean it up pretty fast. I spend a lot of my time checking the temperatures and making sure everything stays frozen right so it doesn't melt. We don’t do anything too fancy or complicated here. It’s just ice cream in a shop on a main road. I think people like that it’s a familiar place they can count on. You know exactly what you’re getting when you walk in. I enjoy the rhythm of it, the opening and closing of the freezer lids throughout the evening until we close.
