Neminath Marble & Granite

If you’re driving down Surat Bardoli Road, you’ll see our yard near the Nandida Char Rasta. It’s hard to miss because of all the stone slabs leaning against each other. We spend most of our time out in the sun, moving pieces of marble and granite around. It gets really dusty, especially when the wind picks up off the road. We’ve got a small office cabin where we keep the records, but mostly we’re outside. The trucks come in early to drop off new stock or pick up orders. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and making sure nothing cracks. We aren't doing anything fancy here. Just a bunch of guys who know a lot about stone. Sometimes people stop by just to look at the different colors of granite we have in the yard. We have a couple of dogs that hang around for shade under the slabs. Lunch is usually eaten together on some plastic chairs under the fan in the back. It’s loud because of the traffic at the crossroads, but that’s just how it is. We’ve been here at this location for a good bit of time now. The ground is covered in stone chips and sand. We don't have a big sales team or a glossy catalog. If someone wants to see what we have, they just walk around the yard with us. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We like the physical nature of the job and being outdoors near the Nandida Char Rasta junction.
