If you’re looking for us, we are in the Shankheshwar Complex over in Sagrampura. Our plot is S-1, right in Kailash Nagar. It’s a decent sized place but it feels small once you start stacking up boxes of tiles. We have tiles everywhere, leaning against the walls and piled up in the corners. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We spend the day showing people different patterns and explaining how the finish feels under your hand. It’s not like those big home centers you see on TV. It’s just us and a few helpers moving heavy boxes. The light in the complex isn't the best, so we often take the tiles outside to the door so the customer can see the real color in the sun. We don't have any scripted lines or sales pitches. We just tell people what’s in stock and how much it costs. Sometimes we have a bit of a mess to clean up after a busy morning, with bits of cardboard and plastic wrap all over the floor. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp. Dealing with deliveries can be a headache when the narrow streets of Sagrampura get clogged with traffic. But we manage to get things done. It’s a living, and we’ve been doing it long enough that we know most of the regulars.
