Modern Hair Art

If you find yourself down near Chowk Bazar, you’ve probably seen how crowded the Main Road gets. Our shop, Modern Hair Art, is right there near the Chok Char Rasta. It’s a busy intersection and there’s always something going on outside the window. We’ve been in this spot for a good while now. The shop is simple, with the usual mirrors and a few places for people to sit while they wait. We don’t go in for anything too decorative because we’re mostly busy just working. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't bother anyone much. People from all over the neighborhood stop in. Since we are near the crossroads, we get a lot of walk-ins who are just passing through the bazar. It’s a loud part of town with all the rickshaws and bikes honking, but inside we just focus on the hair. We use the same old techniques we’ve always used. Nothing has really changed much over the years, except maybe the songs on the radio. It’s a practical place for people who just want to get their hair cut and get back to their day. We don’t make a big deal out of things. Just a normal shop in a very busy part of Surat. You can’t miss us if you’re walking toward the bazar from the main crossing. It's just how the shop is, nothing fancy.
